How to get GA4 and Google Tag Manager IDs

Google Analytics 4

1. Open analytics.google.com and sign in.
2. Admin (⚙) → Create → Property.
3. Enter the site name, time zone and currency.
4. Under Data streams choose Web and enter your URL.
5. A Measurement ID appears in the form G-XXXXXXXXXX.

Put it in General settings → Tracking & pixels → GA4 Measurement ID.

Google Tag Manager

1. Open tagmanager.google.com.
2. Create account → enter your company name → choose Web.
3. You get an ID like GTM-XXXXXXX.

Put it in the GTM Container ID field.

Which should you use?

• One or two pixels only: put them straight into nqdr.
• Several tracking tools you want to control yourself: use GTM alone and install everything inside it.

Never put the same pixel in both nqdr and GTM — events will double and your numbers will be wrong.
